Privacy Policy

LowFax.com is a pay-as-you-go online fax service. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the service, how it's used, and how to contact us about it. We've written it to be readable, not to be fine print.

Information We Collect

When you send a fax through LowFax.com, we collect only what's needed to deliver it:

• Your name and email address — so we can send you your delivery confirmation
• The recipient's name and fax number — so the fax reaches the right place
• Your phone number (optional) — only if you choose to add it to your cover page
• Cover page subject and notes (optional) — a cover page is generated automatically with every fax; the subject line and notes appear on it only if you add them
• The document you upload — the file being faxed

We do not require you to create an account, a username, or a password.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe, a payment processor used by millions of businesses. Your card number is entered into Stripe's secure payment form and handled entirely by Stripe — LowFax.com never sees or stores your full card details. How Your Document Is Handled

Your document is encrypted in transit from the moment you upload it until it is delivered. Faxes are transmitted through our fax delivery provider, Notifyre, a professional fax transmission service.

After your fax is delivered, a copy of the transmitted document remains stored in our fax delivery provider's secure system as part of the transmission record. These records are not public and are accessible only for operating the service — for example, confirming delivery or resolving a problem with a fax you sent.

How We Use Your Information

• To transmit your fax to the recipient you specify
• To email you a delivery confirmation
• To respond if you contact us for support or about a problem with a fax
• To understand how the website is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it

We do not sell your personal information, your documents, or your fax activity to anyone. We do not send marketing emails — the only email you'll get from us is your delivery confirmation, or a reply if you write to us.

Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand website traffic — things like how many people visit and which pages they view. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. It does not give us access to your documents or payment details. Most browsers let you block or clear cookies in their settings if you prefer.

Third-Party Services We Rely On

To operate LowFax.com, your information passes through a small number of service providers, each used only for its specific job:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Notifyre — fax transmission and delivery
• Netlify — website hosting
• Google Analytics — website traffic statistics

We don't share your information with any other third parties, except if required by law.

Security

Your document is encrypted in transit from upload to delivery, and payments are handled by Stripe's secure systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information at every step where we control it.

Your Choices

• Deletion — you can request deletion of a stored fax document or your personal information by emailing hello@lowfax.com
• Questions — you can ask us what information we hold related to a fax you sent
• Cookies — you can block or clear cookies in your browser settings

Children

LowFax.com is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top.
