How to Send a Fax From an Android Phone

Android phones don't have a built-in way to send a fax — faxing needs the fax network, which no phone speaks natively. The good news: with an online fax service, your Android phone handles the whole job — scanning, uploading, and sending — right from Chrome.

Step 1: Get Your Document Onto Your Phone

Already have the document as a PDF or photo — an email attachment, a download, a picture you took? Skip to Step 2. Need to scan a paper document? Google Drive has a free scanner built in:

Step 2: Open LowFax.com in Chrome

Go to LowFax.com in your browser. The send form is right on the homepage — nothing to download, no signup.

Step 3: Upload, Enter the Number, and Send

1. Tap Upload Document and pick your file from Drive, Files, or your photos
2. Enter the recipient's fax number and choose the destination country
3. Add your name and email so the delivery confirmation can find you
4. Pay by card — $1.99 for up to 10 pages to the US — and it sends immediately

What About Fax Apps on Google Play?
