How to Send a Fax From Your iPhone

Your iPhone can't send a fax on its own — there's no built-in fax feature, and a fax has to travel over the fax network, not iMessage or email. But with an online fax service, your iPhone becomes everything you need: scanner, uploader, and send button, all in Safari.

Step 1: Get Your Document Onto Your Phone

If your document is already a PDF or photo on your phone — an email attachment, a download, a picture — you're set; skip to Step 2. If it's a paper document, use the scanner hiding inside the Notes app:

1. Open the Notes app and start a new note
2. Tap the camera icon, then choose Scan Documents

Step 3: Upload, Enter the Number, and Send

1. Tap Upload Document and choose your file from Files or your photo library
2. Enter the recipient's fax number and select the destination country
3. Add your name and email for the delivery confirmation
4. Pay by card — $1.99 for up to 10 pages to the US — and your fax sends immediately
